Bain & Company is one of the top management consulting firms in the world. In 2004, the firm established its presence in the Indian market by opening the Bain Capability Center (BCC) in New Delhi. The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain's case teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.

POSITION SUMMARY:


Associates play a team member role on BCN cases, at times leading simple cases independently and at times driving the analysis on more complicated cases with significant direction from a Team Leader. Associates may manage 1-3 Analysts and take responsibility for sharing appropriate information across work streams. Associates provide feedback and coach Analysts on task execution and role. The expectation is to eventually provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage client and team meetings. Associates are generalists who work on projects across any geography or industry.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Proficient professional with sound business logic and ability to structure approaches to answer complex business questions
  • Able to quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across all geographies and industries
  • Proficient in research and analysis, but able to provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published
  • Able to interface with primary client contact (Bain case teams from any global office)
  • May have first level team management responsibility which involves allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts and conducting performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal
  • May manage simple cases consistently and independently

Qualification:


Candidate should be a Graduate from top-tier College with strong academic records and 24-48 months of experience or a Post Graduate from top-tier College with 0-24 months of experience. Candidates should possess excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and team player skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Should possess strong in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Prior experience in similar analytical roles may be an added advantage.
