Bain’s Information Security team is a global team of cybersecurity professionals who are working to protect Bain’s and our client’s critical information assets. Our mission is to assess risks to critical areas and any cyber threats to provide continuous guidance and improved information security standards to all facets of Bain’s business services and consulting operations. As a member of Bain & Company’s global Information Security Architecture & Engineer team you will be a pivotal contributor to the design, testing, implementation, & support of the Information Security technology solutions leveraged to protect Bain & Bain client data. The Security Engineer will work closely with Information Technology teams across Bain & Company to ensure that engineering & security best practices are leveraged across Bain’s vast collection of information technology & information security solutions. The security engineer will also assist with maintenance & support of a wide array of Information Security technology solutions.
Degree level and area of specialization needed for the performance of this role’s Essential Functions
Relevant work experience & certifications (Sec+, Network+, Sys+, GSEC, GCLD, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree, or Information Security certifications focused on information security system design or monitoring (e.g., CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, GMON, GCSA, etc.)
3+ years of experience in cloud, system, or application administration
2+ years security engineering
3+ years of security engineering experience with dedicated support for SaaS security solution
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Windows, MacOS, & Linux desktop &/or server security hardening
Knowledge of security frameworks & standards
Knowledge of security benchmarks
Security Tool Implementation & Support of one or more of the following
